Soprano Samantha Lewis studies vocal performance with Professor Champagne at Oberlin College and Conservatory. As a Double Degree student at Oberlin, she is also earning a B. A. in Financial Economics alongside her B. M. in vocal performance. As an artist, Samantha’s versatility spans both classical and contemporary repertoire. This past semester, she performed the role of Ruth in Oberlin’s production of the contemporary opera Later the Same Evening by John Musto, and sang in the premiere of a one-act chamber opera written by a fellow Oberlin Conservatory student. Samantha has been involved in many performances during her time at Oberlin, which include the role of Ramiro in the spring 2025 production of Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera and singing Gabriel alongside Oberlin Orchestra, Oberlin College Choir, and Musical Union in the fall 2025 performance of Haydn’s The Creation. This summer, Samantha is thrilled to be a part of the Prague Summer Nights Festival program. Outside of the performing arts, Samantha spends time studying financial economics and real estate investing, and enjoys horseback riding, running, and reading.
