Biografie

Mayavati Prabhakar is a soprano from Boston, Massachusetts, currently pursuing a Master of Music in Opera at Binghamton University. She holds a Bachelor of Music with an Outside Field in Vocal Performance and Theater Management from Ithaca College, where she studied with Elisabeth Marshall and Tamara Acosta. At Ithaca College, Mayavati performed in the chorus of Pirates of Penzance, in scenes with Ithaca College Opera Workshop, and premiered the role of Tern 2 in We Wear the Sea like a Coat. At Binghamton, she has performed in scenes and as the Soprano in Postcard from Morocco.
