About
Do you love “staring” at the screen? Are you staring at it right now? The Distraction will divert your attention between stage and screen and show you something you have never seen before. Two performers, the principles of theatre and television, six cameras, nine plastic dolls, and much more meet at a single time and place! In their new show, the world-famous Australian comic duo combine unrestrained imagination with comedy, movement, texts, and green screen effects. The masters of slapstick and stand-up comedy surprise with every step they take on stage. They shine with captivating energy and clever humour, extraordinary movement and vocal skills. Similar to their other shows, the Distraction builds on crazy ideas and their original presentation, focusing on the phenomenon of screen and the blending of reality and fiction.
During their star career, the Umbilical Brothers have visited some 40 countries worldwide, won dozens of prestigious awards and gave thousands of performances before full houses. The Umbilical Brothers performed to the Queen of England and sold out their debut Thwak on Broadway for an entire year.
