Under the lead of Robert Jindra, Music Director of the National Theatre Opera, and two other world-renowned Czech conductors - Tomáš Netopil and Jiří Rožeň, and Slovak conductor Rastislav Štúr we will be conveyed to the time when Bedřich Smetana shaped the Czech musical landscape and opera scene. Accompanied by the National Theatre Orchestra, one of the oldest orchestras in the Czech Republic, whose roots date back to the Provisional Theatre (Prozatimní divadlo), the outstanding soloists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, together with the National Theatre Chorus, will take us through the world of Smetana's compositions.

Bedřich Smetana, an important musical authority and composer, is inseparably linked with the development of Czech music, opera and the National Theatre. As a composer and the first Kapellmeister of the Provisional Theatre, he shaped the musical environment and the opera ensemble of the time, which eventually became the basis for the expanded ensemble running in the coveted representative building of the National Theatre.
