About
Join us on the piazzetta of the National Theatre, where we will stream the Smetana Gala concert live from the National Theatre on a large outdoor screen. In addition to pleasant seating, Czech beer, hot drinks and something good to eat, we are preparing a rich extra programme for all ages. In case of inclement weather, gas air heaters are provided. Don't miss this unique event and be there with us!
Programme:
14:00-16:00 – live broadcast of the Czech Radio Vltava from the Nová scéna building (Themos). The guests of the presenters Daniela Čermáková and Vojtěch Babka will include Robert Jindra, Kateřina Kněžíková, Aleš Březina and Pavel Kosatík. The programme will be accompanied by Lydia Härtelová (harp) and Mario Mesány (flute).
16:00-17:30 – extra programme by ND+
17:00-17:45 – Czech Beseda - traditional Czech salon line dance for four couples performed by NT Ballet + workshop
18:00-18:30 – interviews with important personalities of Czech opera (Robert Jindra, Adam Plachetka, Aleš Briscein)
18:30-19:30 – live broadcast of the first part of the Smetana Gala concert
19:30-20:00 – interviews with performing artists
20:00-21:10 – live broadcast of the 2nd part of the concert
21:10-21:30 – interviews with performing artists (Michaela Zajmi, Štěpánka Pučálková)
21:30-22:15 – live broadcast of the 3rd part of the concert
