Creatives

About

The next Dance On, an educational programme within the ND+ project, to be held on 19 April, will bring ballet fans a unique concept and afford an extraordinary opportunity. Basil Schwerzmann, a member of the Czech National Ballet, will offer a singular insight into the creative process. He has decided to engage the spectators in choreographing. The close dialogue between the audience and the artists on the stage will give rise to a new movement passage, a joint work of all the participants. It will be an experiment and a challenge, yet also an opportunity to grasp what the creator thinks, what is behind a notion, a theme, and the development of the initial idea into its final expression through movement.

"Have you ever wondered how a choreographer works? If so, then this Dance On of Interactive Choreographing is a must for you. You will not only see how a new choreography is made from scratch, but we will break new ground by inviting you to actively contribute to the creative process. Together we will build one big choreographic team, choose the theme and music, and develop movement material for the Czech National Ballet dancers. At the end, we will have a complete choreography that you can proudly say you were part of creating,” says Basil Schwerzmann.
