Vera Talerko

Biography

Since August 2016, the Lithuanian soprano Vera Talerko has been a permanent member  of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet in Oslo, where she has sung roles of Amore (Orfeo ed Euridice), Lola (Cavalleria rusticana), Frasquita (Carmen), Marzelline (Fidelio) and Musetta (La bohème). In July 2017, she guest appeared as Berenice (L'occasione fa il ladro) at the Rossini festival in Bad Wildbad (Germany). Vera Talerko graduated from the Music and Theatre Academy in Vilnius (Lithuania) and took part in masterclasses led by Violetta Urmana, Adven Harry, Gerda van Celm, Angela Goba, Irina Dolzhenko, etc. She earned prizes in different international competitions such as Vinces Jonuskaites Zaunienes konkursas 2015 (Vilnius, 1st prize), Paula-Salomon-Lindmann-das Lied-Wettbewerb (Berlin, 2nd prize), Yantarnij Solovej (Kaliningrad, 3rd prize). As an active concert singer, she has performed in Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Germany, Austria and Spain.
