
Tianie-Finn Grainger

Tianie Grainger was born in the United Kingdom. She received her professional dance training at The Royal Ballet School, studying at White Lodge from 2016 to 2021 and at the Upper School in London from 2021 to 2024. She graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, achieving First Class Honours. During her studies, she was also actively engaged in choreography and received several distinctions, including the Dame Ninette de Valois Emerging Choreographer Award and the Kenneth MacMillan Emerging Choreographer Award.
In 2024, she joined Junior Ballet Dortmund. During the 2024/2025 season, she appeared as a soloist in the Second Shade variation in La Bayadère, performing Pas d’action, the scarf duet, and corps de ballet roles. She also performed in Swan Lake, Midsummer Nightʼs Dream (choreography by Alexander Ekman), and contemporary works by Nadav Zelner and Marco Goecke (Blushing).
She is the recipient of the 1st Prize of the Lynn Seymour Award for Expressive Dance (2022) and has received numerous additional awards from The Royal Ballet School. She regularly participated in the Grand Défilé at the Royal Opera House and appeared in productions by The Royal Ballet and Opera Holland Park. As a student, she also took part in projects such as Manon, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Bold (choreography by Goyo Montero).
