Ryo Hinoue

Biography

Ryo Hinoue began his professional ballet training at the prestigious San Francisco Ballet School, where he studied from 2018 to 2020 under the guidance of Patrick Armand and Jaime Diaz. Awarded a full scholarship, Ryo honed his craft and laid the foundation for a promising career in ballet.

In March 2024, Ryo Hinoue joined the Czech National Ballet, beginning his professional journey. Despite being with the company for only a short time, Ryo has quickly established himself as a remarkable talent. His repertoire includes Benvolio in John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet, the Pas de six in Johan Kobborg’s La Sylphide, and Escort in Ronald Hynd’s Coppélia. He has also embraced contemporary and neoclassical works, performing in Marco Goecke’s Fly Paper Bird, Bohemian Gravity by Yemi A.D., Bill by Sharon Eyal, and The Sun, the Moon and the Wind by Viktor Konvalinka, where he portrayed Prince Jan. 

Ryo Hinoue’s talent has garnered international acclaim, earning him awards from renowned ballet competitions. In 2022, he was a finalist at the Helsinki International Ballet Competition and won First Prize at TANZOLYMP in Berlin. In 2021, Ryo earned Third Prize at the Beijing International Ballet Competition and Second Prize at YGP Japan, alongside numerous first-place wins at national competitions in Japan.

Ryo is deeply grateful for the support of the Czech National Ballet’s Artistic Director and his colleagues, crediting the vibrant environment of the company and its diverse repertoire for his growth as a dancer. His dedication, talent, and passion continue to drive his success as a rising star in the ballet world.
