John Powers
Corps de ballet member of The Czech National BalletBiography
Born in San Francisco, John Powers trained at the Bolshoi Theatre Academy in Moscow, at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet School. Following an engagement at the Finnish National Ballet from 2015 to 2018 and a brief spell at the Tulsa Ballet, in 2019 he joined the Czech National Ballet. Since his arrival in Prague, he has excelled as Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty (Márcia Haydée), Rothbart in Swan Lake (John Cranko), and other roles.
