Biography

Italian dancer Gioele Castagna (*November 1, 2006) combines a solid classical training with versatile adaptability, allowing him to move seamlessly between traditional ballet repertoire and contemporary choreographic explorations.

He began his studies at La Scala Ballet School in Milan in 2020 (fourth year) and is currently completing the eighth course, preparing to graduate with a diploma as a professional classical and contemporary dancer. Under the guidance of Leonid Nikonov (classical dance, repertoire, and pas de deux), Walter Madau, Jean Philippe Halnaut, and Emanuele Tagliavia, Gioele has performed in numerous school productions, portraying roles ranging from princes and knights to members of the corps de ballet, and has showcased his skills at events such as the “Rai New Year’s Concert” and the TV program “Viva la danza” (2024).

His stage experience includes performances in The Nutcracker (Spanish Dance, Waltz of the Flowers, Soldiers, and Parents’ Dance), Cinderella (Prince and Four Knights), Guillaume Tell (opera), La Strada (Soldiers, Jazz, Tango, Acrobats), and Fille mal gardée (Six Friends and Corps de Ballet). He has appeared on prestigious Italian stages including Teatro alla Scala, Teatro Strehler, and Teatro Comunale Bologna.

Standing 185 cm tall, Gioele brings to the stage a combination of Italian musicality, technical precision, and dramatic presence, captivating audiences with performances that balance technical mastery and expressive interpretation.
