    Guided tours

The Estates Theatre is one of the most beautiful theatre buildings in Europe. It is inextricably linked with the work of musical geniuses such as W. A. Mozart, Carl Maria von Weber, Gustav Mahler, and Niccolò Paganini. However, its history was also influenced by famous Czechs such as the writer Karel Čapek, the playwright Milan Kundera or the director Miloš Forman. Our dedicated guides will tell you not only about these personalities, but also many other interesting facts from history and the present.

The tour of the Estates Theatre takes less than an hour and begins in the lobby, continues in the auditorium, Mozart’s lounge, and ends in the central cloakroom.

Please, be punctual, once the tour starts, it is no longer possible to enter the building.

It is forbidden to use the lift during weekend tours, therefore, please consider whether you are physically able to walk up the stairs. Moreover, the use of toilets shall be limited to the minimum necessary.
