About

Or otherwise: there was once a father, who had two daughters and one mother-in-law. His wife has fled to London. The mother-in-law is vulgar, yet extraordinarily spontaneous. One of the daughters does not know what to do about herself, another dates a Marxist, and the third falls in love with an actor who has arrived to shoot a film about the poet Yeats. A standard British family, in whose life – tragic and comic alike – it is not difficult to recognise that of ourselves.

WARNING: We use tobacco products during the performance.

Poems by W. B. Yeats in a translation by Jiří Valja are cited in the performance.

We would like to thank Jana Orlová for making a video used in the performance.

The performance uses a modified sequence from a video called Choppy Waves by Don Whitaker. Video is under Creative Commons license.
