Biography

Soprano Tetiana Zhuravel graduated from the National Academy of Music in Kiev and as a member of the Kiev Opera Studio created the roles of Marfa (Tsar’s Bride), Gilda (Rigoletto), Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia). In 2017 she made her international debut at the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest as the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte); she returned here as Maria Sierva (Eötvös: Love and other Demons) and Violetta (La traviata). As the Queen of the Night, she has guest appeared at the Macerata Opera Festival, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia, the Hungarian State Opera, the Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm. She sang Belinda (Dido and Aeneas) in Kiev, Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) in Bologna. Her engagements in 2023/24 season include Olympia (Les contes d’Hoffmann) and Girl (Eötvös: Sleepless) at the Oper Graz.
