Biography

Tereza Marečková was born in Brno, where she studied the violin at the conservatory with Prof. František Novotný. While still a student, she received prizes at a number of national and international competitions. Since 2013, she has been engaged as an actor at the Husa na provázku theatre in Brno, where she has performed the roles of Vítězslava Kaprálová (Vitka), Alma Mahler (Alma. Amoroso presto), Andula (The Loves of a Blonde), Zdenka Janáčková (Leoš, or Most Faithfully Yours) and Božena Němcová (The Grandmother). She has also composed incidental music (Ubu the King: Liberty!, Yellow Tears for Yellow Bees, and other plays). She is the recipient of the Theatre Critics´ Award for the Talent of the Year 2018.
