Tereza Hálová

Biography

Foto: Pavel Hejný ml. Guest of the National Theatre Opera. Tereza Hálová was born in 1980 in Prague. While at primary school, she performed in the band Les Eleves, with whom she recorded an album and went on two concert tours of France. She then studied singing and music for two years at the Secondary Art School in Frýdlant. Subsequently, she changed to the second grade of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague, studying original dramatic art under the tutelage of Jaroslav Dušek. Concurrently she concerted with the band Manon 15, with whom she took part in an international workshop in the Czech Republic, Germany and Ireland. At the age of nineteen she joined the band Laura a její tygři, where she stayed for three years and recorded the album Rytmus (2000). She was a member of the bands David Kraus, Plavalaguna and Šum Svistu. Later on, she received an offer from Kamil Střihavka to join Woo Doo Band!. In 2003 she was engaged by the Ta Fantastika theatre for the musical Excalibur (Igrain, the Nun, the Prioress). She has also performed in the musicals Láska je láska (Love is Love - Eržika), Elixír života (Elixir of Life - She-Devil, Edita/Helena) and The Picture of Dorian Gray (Henry’s wife). Over the past four years she has been taking private singing lessons with Hanka Pecková and also performed with the bands BSP and Hrací skříň Praha. Update: April 2007
