Teo Jeřábek
Biography
Little Teo Jeřábek loves his mum and dad, parkour, and spaghetti bolognese. He is a fan of football clubs SK Slavia Prague and FK Teplice. Why would a seven-year-old from Prague support the latter club, which is based in a North Bohemian town? “Because I have friends whose names begin with F and K, and because I like Teplice,” replies Teo frankly.
The spontaneous, agile, and creative boy with blue bangs is enjoying his first big theatre role immensely, as he says himself. “I did some theatre at home, like a puppet piece, but this is the first time when I’m acting with people who aren’t my family.” Teo portrays a little rascal, who enlivens with mischief and energy the encounters between the two seniors, Zuzana and Josef, in the production In the Park. “This role is fun,” he smiles, adding: “I’ll be an actor, for sure.” Stage fright will not hinder his plans. “I get nervous sometimes, you can even see it, but I still finish all I’m asked to do.”
And what does the second-year pupil like best about acting? “When nothing adjusts or changes. When I know I can dive in the task and believe that what I’m acting is actually real,” concludes the debuting child actor.
