Tazeena Firth

Biography

Tazeena Firth was born in Southampton England. She first Works as a scenic painter and later as a set designer for the Royal Theatre in Windsor. In 1960 she moved to London to work with the English Stage Company. The following year she began to work together with designer Timothy O´Brien on new productions in London´s West End, followed by sixteen productions of the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford and London, and work at the National Theatre of Great Britain, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, and the English National Opera. They continued to work together on productions in Paris, Frankfurt, Berlin, Vienna, Sydney and Adelaide, having designed scenery for the world premiere in London of the musical Evita, and its production on Broadway. Tazeena Firth´s independent works include the designs for numerous productions of David Radok, including Don Giovanni and Le nozze di Figaro at the Estates Theatre in Prague. She took part in the Prague Quadrennial in 1975 and won a gold medal.
