Biography

Born in Zlín, she studied dance at the Conservatory in Brno and subsequently at the Dance Conservatory in Prague. Between 2000 and 2002 she continued her studies at École-atelier Rudra Béjart Lausanne. In October 2001 she appeared in the production of Lumiére with Béjart Ballet Lausanne, in 2002 and 2003 danced with Maurice Béjart’s Compagnie M in Lausanne. With Maurice Béjart’s choreography Mére Teresa et les enfants du monde she appeared in a series of performances in Europe, Lebanon, Egypt, Argentina and Brazil. In 2004 and 2005 she was a soloist of the Prague Chamber Ballet of State Opera Prague, dancing, for example, in the title role in Pavel Šmok and Pavel Ďumbala’s ballet Cinderella and in Pavel Šmok’s Sinfonietta. She also performed in Jan Kodet’s choreographies Talking to Frida (the role of Frida) and (e)motions pure. Between 2005 and 2013 she was Demisoloist of the Ballet of the National Theatre in Prague, dancing in The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol, Onegin, Romeo and Juliet, Goldilocks, La Sylphide and Swan Lake. When it comes to modern repertoire, she appeared in Petr Zuska’s choreographies Requiem, Ibbur, or A Prague Mystery, BREL-VYSOTSKY–KRYL / Solo for Three, D.M.J. 1953–1977, and Tomáš Rychetský’s Unspoken Silence and Unfinished Piece. She portrayed the title role in Carmen by the world-famous choreographer Mats Ek. In addition to dancing, she has also devoted to choreography: Cumbia, Simple Symphony for Three, Fugue, Zinin, Ciacona, Change. At the present time, she is a fifth-year choreography student at the Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In 2004 she won 2nd prize in the senior category at the Premio Roma international dance competition in Italy and in 2007 the award for the best choreographer at the International Choreography Competition in Plzeň.
