Biography

Italian tenor Stefano La Colla made his debut in Livorno in 2008 as Radames (Aida). His repertoire includes Verdi roles such as Manrico (Il trovatore), Riccardo (Un ballo in maschera), Alvaro (La forza del destino), Alfredo (La traviata), Puccini characters Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Cavaradossi (Tosca) and Calaf (Turandot), as well as Pollione (Norma), Enzo Grimaldo (La Gioconda), Andrea Chénier, Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana) and Canio (Pagliacci). He has performed these roles at a number of opera houses, including La Scala in Milan, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Deutsche Oper, the Staatsoper Berlin, Vienna State Opera, La Monnaie in Brussels, Dutch National Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Zurich Opera House, Chicago Opera, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Opera House, Semperoper in Dresden, Hamburg State Opera, Frankfurt Opera, Cologne Opera, and the Norwegian National Opera.
