Biography

Soprano Solen Mainguené made her debut at the National Theatre Opera on 21 September as the Marshallin in Der Rosenkavalier. She was born in Orange, France and started her career on the stage of the Hamburg State Opera where she was a resident artist. Currently a member of the ensemble of the Leipzig Opera, she can be heard as Micaëla in Carmen, Desdemona in Otello, Lisa in Pique Dame and she will renew her highly praised interpretation of the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier with the Gewandhaus Orchestra. She appears on stages all over Europe as Violetta (La traviata), Nedda (Pagliacci), Antonia (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Liu (Turandot), Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Tatjana (Eugene Onegin), Manon and many others.
