Slávka Zámečníková

Guest of the Opera


Slovak soprano Slávka Zámečníková made her debut at the National Theatre Opera in June 2018 as Sophie (Werther). She graduated from the Bratislava Conservatoire under the guidance of Božena Ferancová and from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin under the guidance of Anna Samuil. She is a laureate of a number of prestigious competitions including the Neue Stimmen in Gütersloh, Germany, the Hans Gabor Belvedere in Villach, Austria, and the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary. In October 2020 she made her debut at the Vienna State Opera (Norina, Don Pasquale) and since then she has appeared on this stage as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Nanneta (Falstaff), Musetta (La bohème), Sophie (Werther), Marzelline (Fidelio), Eurydice (L'Orfeo), Servilia (La clemenza di Tito) and in spring 2024 she will be seen in Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro). For her role as Poppea (L'incoronazione di Poppea) with the Concentus Musicus Wien under the baton of Pablo Heras-Casado, she was nominated for the Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis 2022. Recently she has guest-starred at the Opéra national de Paris as Musetta, at the Berlin State Opera as Donna Anna, Nannetta, Poppea and Dircé (Medée), at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden as Illia (Idomeneo) and the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro), and at the Slovak National Theatre as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte). She has also been a welcome guest on concert stages, performing under the baton of Simon Rattle with the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Paris Philharmonic, guesting with the Warsaw, the Czech and the Slovak Philharmonics, and appearing at numerous festivals including the Prague Spring Festival.
