Biography

The Canadian mezzo-soprano Rose Naggar-Tremblay will make her debut at the National Theatre Opera in the 2025/26 season as Erda (Das Rheingold). She graduated from McGill University in Montreal and was a young artist in residence with the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal. In 2021 she made her debut at the Sofia Opera in the title role of Carmen. In 2023 she appeared at the Opéra de Metz and the Opéra de Reims as the Second Wood Nymph (Rusalka) and at the Bayerische Staatsoper as the Innkeeper (Boris Godunov). In 2024 she sang the Voice from Above (Die Frau ohne Schatten) in Toulouse and Erda (Das Rheingold) in Erfurt. In 2025 she returned to Toulouse as Cesare (Giulio Cesare) and made her debuts at La Scala in Milan and at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, performing as Farnace (Mitridate, re di Ponto) in a concert version with Les Talens Lyriques under the baton of Christophe Rousset.
