Robert Samuel Powless
Biography
Robert Samuel Powless, (Don Ottavio), Tenor, is from the small, Midwestern United States town of Paducah, Ky. Samuel is a senior at the University of Kentucky where he will be receiving his Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance in the fall of 2024. Samuel is very excited to reprise his role in Don Giovanni this summer with Prague Summer Nights and return to the stage of the world-renowned Estates Theatre where he previously sang the role of Don Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro in 2022. Samuel has most recently sung the roles of Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni and Sam in Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah with the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre program. Mr. Powless is thankful to be returning to the Prague Summer Nights music festival. Glory be to God!
