Biography

The Romanian tenor Remus Alazaroae maked his National Theatre Opera debut in 2020/21 season as Macduff (Macbeth). Since 2012, Remus Alazaroae has been a soloist of the Romanian National Opera in Timișoara, where he has appeared as Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Rodolfo (La bohème), Alfredo (La traviata) and Riccardo (Un ballo in maschera). Further roles include Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Flavio (Norma), Pong (Turandot), Remendado (Carmen), Gabriele Adorno (Simon Boccanegra), Duca (Rigoletto) and Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore). His vocal symphonic repertoire include Verdi’s Requiem, Rossini’s Stabat mater, just to name a few. Tours with the Timișoara opera brought him to Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Quatar. Remus Alazaroae started his carreer as an oboe player at the Romanian National Opera in Timișoara (2000–2012). Following vocal studies under Corneliu Murgu, Karan Armstrong and Thomas Moser, he won the Lotte Lehmann Academy Special Prize in Würzburg in 2012. He also collaborates with the Romanian National Opera in Bucharest and the Bergen National Opera in Norway.
