
Biography
In the 2025–26 season, Omer Kobiljak makes house debuts at Prague State Opera and Opéra National de Montpellier as Alfredo (La traviata), and returns to Opernhaus Zürich to sing Macduff (Macbeth) and The Italian Singer (Der Rosenkavalier). Next season, he will make his Dutch National Opera debut.
As a member of the ensemble at Opernhaus Zürich during the 2024–25 season, he sang Gabriele (Simon Boccanegra) under Paolo Arrivabeni; Narraboth (Salome) under Simone Young; Steersman (Der fliegende Holländer) under Gianandrea Noseda; Tybalt (Roméo et Juliette) under Timur Zangiev; and Vicomte Cascade (Die Lustige Witwe) under Patrick Hahn. He also made house debuts at Semperoper Dresden as Lord Arturo Bucklaw (Lucia di Lammermoor) and at Opéra de Monte-Carlo, where he reprised the role of Froh (Das Rheingold) under Gianluca Capuano. Additionally, he sang Narraboth (Salome) at Baltic Opera Festival under Yoel Gamzou. Omer has also performed Alexis (Siberia), Yamadori (Madama Butterfly), and Don Riccardo (Ernani) for Bregenzer Festspiele; the title role in Der Graf von Luxemburg for Erl Festival; and an Apprentice (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg) in his 2017 Teatro alla Scala debut.
