Noelle Duke

Biography

Noelle is a graduate of the Aaron Copland School of Music (ACSM) at Queens College, where she earned both her Bachelor of Music degree and Advanced Certificate in Vocal Performance under the tutelage of Dr. Sherry Overholt.

During the course of her studies she’s held operatic roles such as die Mutter in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Ms. Wordsworth in Britten’s Albert Herring, Oberto in Händel’s Alcina, and Geraldine in Barber’s A Hand of Bridge. In July of 2025, she attended the Queens Summer Vocal Institute, where she performed the role of Die Knusperhexe in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel.

This past March, Noelle performed Richard Strauss’ Vier Letzte Lieder with the Queens College Orchestra as a culmination of her winning ACSM’s Concerto Competition. The year prior, Noelle performed Alban Berg’s Sieben Frühe Lieder as a finalist in the competition.

Before she devoted herself to classical repertoire, Noelle found her love for performing onstage in musical theater productions. Prior to her undergraduate degree, she held roles such as Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Donna in Mamma Mia! and Berthe in Pippin. She had the opportunity to reprise her musical theater skills during her undergraduate degree in QC Opera’s staging of Sondheim’s Into the Woods, where she played the Baker’s Wife.
