

Milen Bozhkov

Bulgarian tenor Milen Bozhkov makes his debut at the National Theatre Opera in the 2024/25 season as Radames (Aida) and Renato des Grieux (Manon Lescaut). He has already performed the role of Radames at the Warsaw National Opera, Salzburg, Dubai, Saabrücken, and in 2025 he will perform it at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm. In recent years he has guest appeared at Karlsruhe (Turridu/Canio, Cavalleria rusticana/Pagliacci), Theater Krefeld/Mönchengladbach (Pinkerton, Madama Butterfly), Opéra de Metz (Herodes, Salome, and the Prince, Rusalka), at the Summer Festival in Varna (Otello and Cavaradossi, Tosca), at the Plovdiv Amphitheatre (Ismaele, Nabucco), at the National Opera of Albania in Tirana (Gustavo, Un ballo in maschera), etc. His most frequent roles include Don José (Carmen), which he sang at the Nuremberg State Opera, the National Opera of Albania in Tirana and the Kassel State Theatre. Concert appearances have taken him to Japan, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, Latvia and Bulgaria. Milen Bozhkov graduated from the Music Academy in Sofia and the Music College in Graz and continues to study with Krassimira Stoyanova.
