Martin Šinták


Dancer, dance teacher, choreographer and long-time soloist of the JK Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, later also its ballet master. 

He graduated from the Dance Conservatory of the Capital City of Prague. He won the prize for partnership at the II. International Ballet Competition in Brno (2006) and 2nd place in the Professional category and the Pas de Deux category at the Prix Corpeax (2007). He has been a member of the Pilsen Theater Ballet Ensemble since 2007, and a year later, he became a soloist. He created many lead roles in the modern and classical repertoire, from princes to dramatic or negative characters. He has also been a guest at the Prague National Theater, Olomouc and Liberec. At the same time, he applied not only his dance skills but also singing, and he also played a dramatic role. In addition to being a successful dancer, he is also engaged in dance pedagogy. Since 2008 he began teaching at the JK Tyl Theatre Ballet School, and currently, he teaches at the Pilsen Conservatory physical education future opera and musical artists. In 2020, he founded Martin Šinták's Ballet Studio Move and Dance for all ages. However, his domain is currently mainly choreography, especially in opera, operetta and musical productions. He already has done many such ones, such as Strauss's Bat, directed by Martin Otava, Rossini's Italian in Algiers, directed by Jakub Hliněnský and many others. He regularly collaborates with Tomáš Ondřej Pilař and also participated in the production of La Boheme in Brno with directress Magdalena Švecová.
