Maria Geber

Biography

Swedish costume designer Maria Geber studied at the Gerlesborg Art School, the San Francisco Art Institute and the Beckmann School of Design in Stockholm. She has collaborated with choreographers and directors such as Mats Ek, Brigitta Egerbladh, Ole Anders Tandberg, Suzanne Osten, Etienne Glaser, Mattias Andersson, Simon Norrthon, Rickard Günther, Linus Tunström and Ragnar Lyth. With director Ole Anders Tandberg, she participated in the productions of La bohème (Opernhaus Zürich), Le nozze di Figaro, Die Zauberflöte, Die lustige Witwe, Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte (Royal Swedish Opera, Stockolm), Carmen, Wozzeck and Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District (Deutsche Oper Berlin), Rigoletto (Norwegian National Opera, Oslo), among others. In addition to costume design, she also works in scenography and teaches at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts.
