Biography

Guest of the National Theatre Opera. She began studying singing under the tutelage of Werner Schürmann in Osnabrück. Between 1997 and 1999 she further honed her technique under the leadership of Nancy Henninger, Martina Stamos-Vogiatzis and Olivera Miljakovic, and also attended master classes given by Walter Berry in Vienna. Between 1998 and 2000 she was engaged by the Mecklenburgisches Staatsheater in Schwerin. In the summer of 2001 she debuted as Puccini’s Tosca at the Wernigerode Summer Festival. As a soloist, she performed between 2001 and 2003 in the Thüringer Nationaltheater in Eisenach. Her opera roles include Verdi’s Leonora (Il trovatore), Dvořák’s Rusalka, Marta in d’Albert’s The Lowland (in which she also appeared at the Prague State Opera), as well as Tosca, Ariadne (R. Strauss: Ariadne auf Naxos), Agatha (Weber: Der Freischütz), Verdi’s Aida and Amelia (Un ballo in maschera), Wagner’s Senta (Der fliegende Holländer), Sieglinde (Die Walküre), Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur (National Theatre Prague) and many others. For the National Theatre Opera in Prague she has studied also Donna Anna (Mozart: Don Giovanni), Katerina (Martinů: The Greek Passion) and Giulietta (Offenbach: Les contes d'Hoffmann).
