Biography
Guest of the National Theatre Opera.
Born in 1978 in Prague. Since 1999 he has worked at the Ta Fantastika theatre, where he debuted in the role of the Priest in Ondřej Soukup and Gabriela Osvaldová’s musical Joan of Arc (stage director: Jozef Bednárik). In this production he also alternated another two roles: Joan’s friend Raimond and Captain La Hire. After almost eight hundred performances in Prague, he appeared in the musical for several months at Bratislava’s Aréna theatre. In 2002 he performed in Joan of Arc at the international musical festival in Cardiff. The next production he appeared in was Michal Pavlíček’s 2003 musical Excalibur (stage director: Vladimír Morávek), in which he portrayed the Knight Erec. In 2005, again under the stage director Jozef Bednárik, he prepared two roles in the still-running musical Elixir of Life – Mr Big and the New York gangster and founder of Las Vegas Bugsy Siegel. In the following year he re-studied the role of Raimond in Spanish for a tour with the musical Juana de Arco in Spain, where he performed on more than twenty stages. Furthermore, under the stage director Jiří Pokorný he has portrayed the Beggar in the musical The Picture of Dorian Gray (2007) and the poet Nebeský in the musical production Němcová! at Ta Fantastika (2008). At the Karlín Music Theatre he has enacted Zuniga in the musical Carmen (stage director: Gabriel Barre). At the present time, he is preparing the role of the Hunchback in the musical Witches’ Hammer.
