Lucie Hilscherová graduated in solo singing (under the tutelage of Romana Feiferlíková), psychology and music education from the Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň. She studied voice also with Ursula Schönhals at the Faculty of Arts of the Technische Universität in Chemnitz, Germany, and attended many master classes. She has received a number of awards and prizes (International Competition „Musica Sacra Roma“, Cantilena Bayreuth, Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary etc). She gained her first opera experiences on the stage of State Opera Prague in 2005 in the roles of Berta (Rossini: Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Verdi's Annina (La traviata) and Giovanna (Rigoletto). Since 2006 she has guest apperd at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň and regularly perfomed at the Opera Diversa and Chamber opera Prague. In 2008 she debuted at the National Theatre in Prague, in the role of Háta (Smetana: The Bartered Bride) and since 2013 she has cooperated with the State Theatre Košice, Slovakia. Lucie Hilscherová has an extensive concert repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music. She has worked with many Czech and foreign orchestras and has performed at many festivals such as Musikfest Stuttgart, Beethovenfest Bonn, Grafenegg Musik-Sommer, Prague Spring, Easter Festival of Sacred Music Brno, Smetana Litomyšl etc.
