
Louisa Gundeck is a soprano studying toward a Master of Music degree at Bard College Conservatory under the tutelage of Michaela Martens. This past season at Bard, she sang Il Notaio in Gianni Schicchi and in the chorus of Menotti’s Amelia al ballo. In addition, she sang Zelde-Zlate in Khantshe in Amerike, a yiddish operetta recently reconstructed in collaboration with the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research. Louisa has performed as Suor Osmina in Suor Angelica and Spirit of The Boy in Curlew River. She has performed in various roles in opera scenes, including Héro in Béatrice et Bénédict, Susanna in The Mariage of Figaro, and Dorinda in Orlando. Raised in the Hudson Valley, New York, Louisa currently studies at Bard with Stephanie Blythe, Kayo Iwama, and Erika Switzer. She graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Music in 2025 and in the fall of 2023, she studied for a semester at the Royal College of Music in London.
