Lívia Obručník Vénosová
Biography
Born in Košice, Slovakia, the soprano Lívia Obručník Vénosová graduated from the Prague Conservatoire in 2007. She has achieved success in a number of singing competitions including the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary. In 2005, she debuted at the National Theatre in Prague, where she has appeared in Jenůfa (Barena), The Angels (Lilit), Rusalka (Turnspit) and Libuše. In 2008, she sang the title role of Puccini's Suor Angelika at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň and in 2010, the role of The Foreign Princess in Rusalka at the State Opera Prague. At present, she is the soloist of the F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec. She has cooperated with many eminent conductors (Jiří Kout, Libor Pešek, Robert Jindra, Peter Feranec, Jakub Hrůša, Johannes Schlaefli, Ondrej Lenárd) and orchestras (Prague Symphony Orchestra, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, The Czech Ensemble Baroque Orchestra etc.).
