

Katrin Schrader
Biography
Katrin Schrader is a Belgian-German ballet dancer, born on May 10, 1997, in Etterbeek, Belgium. She trained at the Princess Grace Academy from 2012 to 2016 and graduated in June 2016. That same year, she joined Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo as a corps de ballet member. In July 2018, she was promoted to demi-soloist, and in January 2025, she achieved the rank of principal dancer.
Throughout her career, she has performed numerous significant roles, particularly in the works of Jean-Christophe Maillot. She has danced the title role of Juliet in Roméo et Juliette, the Mother and the Fairy in Cinderella, Aurora in La Belle, the White Swan in Lac, Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew, Coppélia in Coppel.I.A, Hippolyte in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and both the Étoile and the Fairy in Casse-Noisette Compagnie. She has also appeared in Maillot’s works such as Vers un Pays Sage, Core Meu (as the Mourner), Opus 40, Noces, Aleatorio, Abstract Life, and L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, where she portrayed the Nightingale.
She has collaborated with numerous renowned choreographers. Her repertoire includes Petrouchka and Carmen by Johan Inger, Violin Concerto and La Valse by George Balanchine, Atman and Firebird by Goyo Montero, and Memento Mori by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
Her talent was recognized early in her career when, in 2010, she won first place in the Junior Division at the European semi-finals of the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix.
With her versatility and artistic sensitivity, Katrin Schrader has become a prominent figure in contemporary ballet and continues to shine on the world’s most prestigious stages.
