Julian Purdy

Biography

Julian is a bass-baritone living in London, where he works as a primary care doctor. He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, graduating with a master’s in music in vocal performance in 2021, under the tutelage of Peter Wilson. While undergoing his medical training Julian has performed roles including Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro), Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) and Frank (Die Fledermaus) in operatic summer programmes abroad in Germany, Switzerland and Italy. Aside from music and medicine, Julian also enjoys long-distance running and is works part-time as an officer in the British Army.
