Tenor Jean-François Borras makes his debut at the National Theatre Opera on 2 March 2024 in the role of Faust (Boito: Mefistofele). In recent years the artist has appeared with great success as Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut) at the Opéra de Paris, Monte Carlo, Valencia and the Vienna State Opera, Raimbaut (Robert le Diable) and Ismael (Nabucco) at Covent Garden, Alfredo (La traviata) at Monte Carlo and Macduff (Macbeth) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées. He has also performed at the Vienna State Opera in La traviata, La bohème, Faust and Werther, in Toulon in Lakmé, in Munich in Un ballo in maschera, at the Sao Paulo Opera in Thaïs, at the Metropolitan Opera in Werther, Rigoletto, La bohème and Thaïs, at the Opéra de Paris, the Frankfurt Oper and the Teatro Regio in Turin in Carmen, in Lyon and the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Herodias, at the Teatro La Fenice in Cavalleria rusticana, at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa in Werther, among others.
