The young contralto is of persian descent and began her musical education at the age of five in piano. She started her vocal training privately as well as in the choir of the Staatsoper Stuttgart. Since her youth she was also active as a soloist and sang, among other roles, the Fourth Brautjungfer in Der Freischütz and the Shepherd in Tosca. Jasmin Etminan graduated from Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart and in Karlsruhe.
