Biography

He was born in Liberec, in the Czech Republic, and studied singing at the conservatory, where he was a student of Václav Zítek (who was a leading soloist performing at the National Theatre in Prague), and from which he graduated with the role of Kecal in The Bartered Bride by Bedřich Smetana. He participated in several singing masterclasses, for instance in Vienna, and has been co-operating with Antonio Carangelo, who is an Italian operatic tenor, for many years. He made his professional debut as Banco in Giuseppe Verdi´s Macbeth. Nowadays, he performs not only in the Czech Republic, but also around the whole world (for example in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Ireland, and even in Israel and South Korea), and he also performs in prestigious music festivals and in Opera Houses. He is a perpetual participant in the opera theatre of F. X. Šalda in Liberec. Furthermore, he is dedicated to the concert activity and performs with many Czech and foreign orchestras. His repertoire includes operas, oratorios, and also songs.
