Iryna Zhytynska

Mezzo-soprano Iryna Zhytynska graduated from the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music in Kiev and made her debut on stage in 2006 as Olga (Eugene Onegin) at the Ukrainian National Opera in Kiev. In December 2007 she created Maddalena (Rigoletto) at the Wroclaw Opera, where she subsequently performed a number of roles as a soloist of the latter, including Dalila (Samson et Dalila), Carmen, Marina (Boris Godunov), Konchakovna (Prince Igor), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), etc. She has guest appeared at Teatro Regio Torino (Olga), ABAO Bilbao Opera (Olga and Maddalena), Finnish National Opera (Carmen), Stadttheater Passau (Octavian in Rosenkavalier and Giovanna Seymour in Anna Bolena), at the Kracow Opera (Nicklausse in Les Contes d'Hoffmann), at the Polish National Opera in Warsaw (Laura in Iolanta and Charlotte in Werther), at the Theater an der Wien (Irene in Belisario), etc.
