Inés Nadler

Biography

Inés Nadler comes from Dresden, where she studied stage and costume design at the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1997 she has worked as a designer for opera and drama at theatres in Stuttgart, Vienna, Mannheim, Kassel, Dresden, Weimar, Bochum, Karlsruhe, Saarbrücken and elsewhere. She has collaborated with the stage directors Hasko Weber, Wolfgang Engel, Tilmann Köhler and Markus Dietz. From 2018 to 2020, she designed the sets for Rheingold and Siegfried within a Staatstheater Kassel production of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen, directed by Markus Dietz. She has also created in Kassel the sets for productions of Turandot (2015) and Elektra (2017). Her most recent works include the designs for Britten‘s Peter Grimes and Weill’s Mahagonny at the Nationaltheater Mannheim. The set design for Schönberg‘s Erwartung is her first work at the State Opera in Prague.
