
Ines Nadler
Biography
Ines Nadler comes from Dresden, where she studied stage and costume design at the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1997 she has worked as a designer for opera and drama at theatres in Stuttgart, Vienna, Mannheim, Kassel, Dresden, Weimar, Bremen, Karlsruhe, Saarbrücken and elsewhere. She has collaborated with directors such as Hasko Weber, Tilmann Köhler, Markus Dietz, Elisabeth Stöppler, Barbora Horáková Joly and others. In recent years, she has designed the sets for productions including Das Rheingold and Siegfried for a new staging of Der Ring des Nibelungen, as well as Elektra, Turandot, Peter Grimes and Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny. Her first collaboration with Barbora Horáková Joly was on a production of Erwartung at the Prague National Theatre’s (State Opera), followed by Der fliegende Holländer in Weimar and The Fiery Angel in Bremen.
