Grace Platt
Biography
Grace Platt, soprano, is a native of Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Grace is an upcoming senior pursuing a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Kentucky and studies with Dr. Angelique Clay. With University of Kentucky Opera Theatre, she has performed Puccini’s La bohème (chorus), It’s a Grand Night for Singing 30th Year Anniversary (Featured Soloist), Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (First Lady), The Stars of Tomorrow Opera Gala (Featured Soloist), Floyd’s Susannah (Mrs. Gleaton and Susannah Cover), and Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Donna Anna). She has previously appeared with the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra and the University of Kentucky Choirs in Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Soprano Soloist) and in the Mozart Requiem (Soprano Soloist). Her most recent competition credits and awards include The 2021 Alltech Vocal Scholarship Competition First Place Undergraduate Award winner, The 2022 National Association of Teachers of Singing: Second Year Treble First Place winner, and Honorable Mention in the Finals for The 41st Meistersinger Competition in Graz, Austria.
