Gerald Neeb

Biography

Demi-soloist of the National Theatre Ballet Gerald Neeb studied dance at the Heinz Bosl Foundation in Munich, where he was taught by Konstanze Vernon, Heinz Manniegel, Hans-Joachim Metz, Alexander Prokofiev and other pedagogues. In 2001 he came second in the Eurovision competition for his performance of Grand Pas de deux from the ballet Le Corsaire. In the same year the Bavarian Minister of Culture awarded him the prize for the most talented junior dancer. Between 2001 and 2008 he was a member of the ballet ensemble of Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, where he danced solo roles in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Midsummer Night´s Dream, Cinderella, Nutcracker, Le Sacre du printemps, Carmina Burana, Mats Ek’s choreography A Sort Of, Jiri Kylian´s Petite Mort, Petr Zuska´s Requiem or John Neumeier´s Sylvia. As of the 2008–2009 season he is a demi-soloist of the National Theatre Ballet.
