

Dutch mezzo-soprano Eva Kroon makes her debut at the National Theatre in Prague as Geneviève in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande (2026).
She is a regular guest at Dutch National Opera, where she has appeared in Wagner’s Parsifal and Die Walküre, Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, Poulenc’s Dialogues des carmélites and Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann.
She studied with Abbie Furmansky and currently continues her studies with Nadine Secunde. Eva Kroon has worked with conductors including Marc Albrecht, Marc Minkowski, Carlo Rizzi and Lorenzo Viotti, and with stage directors such as Pierre Audi, Andrea Breth, Johannes Erath, Jan Philipp Gloger, Barry Kosky, Tobias Kratzer, Christof Loy and Kirill Serebrennikov.
On the concert platform, she has appeared as a soloist in major oratorios by Bach, Mozart, Rossini and Verdi. Her recital repertoire includes song cycles by Mahler, Wagner, Brahms and Richard Strauss.
In recent seasons, she has returned to Dutch National Opera for productions including Humperdinck’s Königskinder, Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier, Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov and Weinberg’s The Passenger. The production of Boris Godunov was also recorded for television and DVD. On the concert platform, she has appeared as a soloist in Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 in Eindhoven and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, as well as at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, where she performed under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.
