Eir Inderhaug

Biography

Eir Inderhaug received her education at Rogaland Musikkonservatorium, The Opera Academy in Copenhagen and in the Soloist Class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen.

She has performed as Queen of the Night (Mozart: The Magic Flute), Despina (Mozart: Cosi fan tutte), Blonde (Mozart: Die Entführung aus dem Serail) at Komische Oper in Berlin and at The Gothenburg Opera, Adele (J. Strauss: Die Fledermaus) and Rosina (Rossini: Il barbiere di Siviglia) at Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, Fiakermilli (Strauss: Arabella) at Bayerische Staatsoper and at The Gothenburg Opera, Autonoe (Henze: Die Bassariden) at Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Iphis (Handel: Jephtha) at The Royal Theater, Copenhagen, and Gabrielle (Penderecki: Devils of Loudon) at Copenhagen Royal Opera. In season 2013-14 she sang Venus / Gepopo in Le Grand Macabre at Komische Oper, Berlin, at Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, at La Monnaie in Bruxelles, and at The Royal Theatre, Copenhagen. In 2019, she sang the same roles at Opernhaus Zürich. In 2022 she performed as Real I, Virtual I in opera project Chasing Waterfalls at Semperoper Dresden. In Malmö Opera she performed as Girl (Gefors: Park), Tytania (Britten: A Midsummer Night's Dream) and Eurydice (Offenbach: Orphée aux enfers).

 Eir Inderhaug has contributed on several CD recordings. Amongst others on Okkenhaug Songs “Eg veit ei lita jente” and on the recording of the Danish opera Belissa by Poul Rovsing Olsen where she sings the title role. In 2003 she was selected Norwegian Concert Institutes ‘Intro Musician’. She won Critics’ Prize in 2014 for Venus/Gepopo in Le Grand Macabre.
