Edgars Ošleja

Latvian bass Edgars Ošleja made his National Theatre Opera debut on February 7, 2020 as Colline (La bohème, State Opera production). He sang from 2008 to 2010 in Riga Commerce gymnasium’s mixed choir and in „New Riga Men’s Choir”. Later, he sang in a mixed youth choir „Pa Saulei”. In 2015 he debuted in the Latvia’s National Opera in Riga and started his studies at the Jazeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, from which he gratuated in Jule 2019. His repertoire consists of many arias and songs of various composers, such as Antonio Caldara, G. F. Händel, Verdi or Mozart. In Riga, he has sung Reinmar von Zweter (Tannhäuser), Keeper of the Madhouse (The Rake’s Progress) and Colline (La bohème).
