Daniel Basurto Fojaco
Biography
Daniel Basurto Fojaco is a baritone from the city of Tijuana, Mexico, he studies music technology and performance at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and will enter his senior year in the coming fall.
Daniel is honing his skills as a music major at NYU Abu Dhabi having just completed his junior year with resounding success. Coming off from his successful junior recital performing iconic operatic and classical pieces from Mozart, Dvorak, Donitzeti & Maria Grever, covering a broad range of repertoire.
At NYUAD Daniel has worked with the record label Gazellien Records on recording and production of music and audio projects. Daniel will begin working on his capstone this fall which will involve the recording and production of a classical album.
Daniel was in Le Nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni as a chorus member in the 2023 season of Prague Summer Nights and has had masterclasses with Jelena Noskova, as well as Lawrence Brownlee and Francesco Demuro as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival held by the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation.
Daniel is looking forward to the future as he embarks on his senior year at NYUAD and plans to apply to conservatories and music schools to further develop his skills in classical singing and performance.
