Biography

Mezzo-soprano Corinna Scheurle makes her National Theatre Opera debut in 2023/24 season in the role of Bianca in Eine Florentinische Tragödie. She graduated from the University of the Arts in Berlin and the August Everding Theatre Academy in Munich. After engagments at the opera studio of the Staatsoper Berlin and at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich she has been a permanent ensemble member at the Staatstheater Nürnberg since the 2021/2022 season. On this stages she has created, among others roles, Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier), Carmen and Angelina (La cenerentola). Recently she has created Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) and Dryade (Ariadne auf Naxos) at the Staatsoper Berlin, the title role in Carmen in Egypt (Bibliotheca Alexandrina) and at the Theater Aachen, Dorabella (Così fan tutte) with the Kammerakademie Potsdam, Waltraute (Die Walküre) at Tiroler Festspiele Erl, Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro) at the Bregenz Festival or 2nd Lady (Die Zauberflöte) at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden.
