Chelsea Zurflüh

Chelsea Marilyn Zurflüh, Swiss soprano with roots on the Seychelles, was a member of the International Opera Studio in Zurich from 2021 to 2023. She has already appeared as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, as Zaida in Il Turco in Italia, as Atalanta in Serse, among other roles, at the Opera Zurich and the Theater Winterthur. At the Theater Biel Solothurn she sang the title role in the world premiere of the opera Heidi feiert Weihnachten in December 2023 written by the Swiss composer Fabian Müller. In the summer of 2023, she successfully performed the role of Licori in Vivaldi’s La fida ninfa at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music. She has performed at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam with La Cetra Barockorchester under the baton of Andrea Marcon, the Liederhalle Stuttgart with the orchestra Il Gusto Barocco under Jörg Halubek and the Tonhalle Zurich with the PKF – Prague Philharmonia conducted by Heiko Mathias Förster. Chelsea Zurflüh is a prizewinner of several singing competitions, including the second prize at the »International Mozart Competition Salzburg« in February 2023 and at the »International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera Pietro Antonio Cesti« in Innsbruck in August 2022.
